All contributions are considered for publication, so if you’d like to provide content or share your news with our readers please email our Editor on

If you would like to advertise in our magazine please download our rate card and contact our Editor.
Members and ABAs can provide small adverts for free.
As part of SBA membership, members have exclusive online access to the last 2 years of monthly publications, via the members’ area, and anyone can access the public archive from the years prior to that.

Using the Archive
The Scottish Beekeeper started in July 1924 and vol.1 ran to June 1925. Vols 2 and 3 followed that pattern.
However, vol. 4 started in July 1927 but continued for 18 months, ending in December 1928.
The magazines since then have all followed the January to December pattern.
The index as such is not always an alphabetical index but takes the form of a list of articles, letters and so on.The index for each year is generally to be found in that year’s December issue although sometimes it appears in the January issue that follows.
Some years are without any form of index.
Be aware that there are instances where pages are wrongly numbered or are repeated.
Roman numerals where used are not always correct [typos].
