MICROSCOPY WORKSHOP
Our Microscopy workshop will be held on the 13th and 14th of March 2027 (venue TBC, but likely to be Roslin Institute, Edinburgh)
This course is ideal for beekeepers who have an interest in pollen, anatomy and honey bee diseases, and it would make a fantastic gift for those keen to see things at a macro level!
This 2-day workshop is £100, and starter kits will be available for £85 (the kit contains approx. 30 items including instruments, chemicals, containers and slides to enable attendees to continue practising post-workshop). When applying, please state whether you wish to purchase the starter kit. The kits will be issued at the workshop.

If you are looking to work towards the SBA’s Apiarian or Microscopy exams, this microscopy workshop would be a great one to attend, in preparation for sitting the Microscopy exam in 2028. This microscopy workshop and the exam are on alternate years.

SBA Annual General Meeting
AGMOur 2027 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Saturday 24th of April in person at the Corran Halls, 54 Corran Esplanade, Oban, PA34 5AB. All members are invited to attend and non-members are very welcome to join for lunch and the afternoon program of talks.
