At previous courses, participants reported some frustration at returning home, acquiring a microscope(s) but being unable to get going because of a lack of instruments, chemicals and slides. Some of these are not available in small quantities. To get over this problem, the Education Committee have made a bulk purchase of materials and made up Beginner’s kits for the workshop. These  let the workshop participants get started on microscopy as soon as they had completed the workshop. The kit includes all necessary instruments, chemicals and slides (26 items) contained in a 7 litre plastic container
